K9 Training

• Explosive Detection dogs or EDD are trained using live explosive aids. The dogs are put through all areas of searching where they are taught to recognize the scent and passively alert on explosive material, this tells the handler that they have detected an explosive device. This service has become more frequently sought after with recent world events.

• Narcotic Detection dogs are trained to recognize and alert on Narcotic odor. These dogs alert in the same manner as explosive dogs with a passive or aggressive alert once they have recognized the scent of a narcotic.

• Security Dogs/Patrol Dog is trained to patrol with or without a handler, to watch for issues that might be considered a threat. These dogs will attack with or without a command. These dogs are used in law enforcement, Estate settings, and for the private citizen who feels the need for K-9 protection. All dogs are trained to perform their duties on and off leash. Our dogs will perform a "find and bark", or "find and bite" depending on the buyers needs. We can also train an "out and guard" or "bark and hold" if needed.

• The handlers are taught complete control over their K9's to ensure no unwanted bites or nervous behavior in public. Our dogs are also very well socialized to remain calm in a household setting. We carefully select each dog for our clients, this insures them the dog they need is they dog they get.

• Search and rescue dogs are trained to track a human scent until they find the source of the scent. We use live decoys to train these specialty dogs. These dogs are trained in endurance, extreme concentration, and recognizing the difference between their tracking scent and the scent of the area around them. The dogs have the endurance to track a scent for hours in all types of weather.

• Obedience training for the companion dog owner is provided by U-Good-Dawg-U. Classes are held 2-3 times a week. We offer both group and private class. In our basic Obedience classes the dog will learn Sit, Down, Stay, Come when called, Heel on leash and not pull, and go to a place. In our Advanced Obedience program, dogs are taught off leash obedience and introduced to agility work. At the end of the basic obedience course your dog will be given a AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) evaluation.

• We also offer Detection services for residential and business. The benefit is that YOU the consumer have the choice to prosecute or not. If you feel that your child or employee's bring narcotics into your home or work place we can conduct a discreet search for you. We also have Explosive Detection services as well.
